Customization with Loginapp Design Kit
The Loginapp Design Kit is a single-page application (SPA) allowing for UI customization of the IAM Loginapp.
When installing IAM, the UI comes with default styling and texts. The Loginapp Design Kit allows you to customize the look and feel in a flexible and user-friendly way. It is a separate standalone application where the effects of any customization changes can immediately be seen in a web browser.
The Loginapp Design Kit will be replaced soon
Due to a change announced by Google in the underlying Angular web framework, the existing Loginapp Design Kit will be replaced by a new solution. This step is necessary to ensure security, browser compatibility, and long-term support.
It will be necessary to redevelop existing design customizations - an automatic migration is not possible. It is recommended that major changes to the login design (e.g., redesigns) be implemented later using the new Loginapp Design Kit, where possible.
Preliminary schedule (may be subject to change):
- 03/2027: Introduction of new Loginapp Design Kit.
- 06/2028: End of regular support for old Loginapp Design Kit.
The oldLoginapp Design Kit will not support new IAM features published after the new Loginapp Design Kit has been made available.
All IAM customers and partners were informed via an email newsletter in January 2026. More information will be provided as available in the release videos and release notes of new releases.
The scope of the Loginapp Design Kit is:
- UI styling using SCSS
- Adjusting translations
- Changing the layout (header/footer/content)
- Modifying existing product pages
- Adding new pages
