About incubating features in Airlock IAM

From time to time, a release of Airlock IAM may include what we call an incubating feature. Such features are included to allow customers to explore a new technology or a new aspect of the identity and access management field.

  • What sets incubating features apart are the following properties:
  • Incubating features are often based on draft standards that may change over time and therefore require breaking changes in the feature. Such changes may be included in minor product versions.
  • Incubating features are intended for proof-of-concept implementations to explore new and innovative solutions. They may be used for production purposes if the risk of major changes in the feature is acceptable to the customer.
  • Incubating features do not require licensing during their incubating period. They may require additional licensing once they reach maturity.
