Channel verification

Email addresses and mobile phone numbers may be verified by additional (optional) flow steps:

  • Mobile Phone numbers: Sends an OTP code to the mobile phone number provided during registration. Verifies OTP code on next screen (not shown here).
  • Email: Sends an email message containing an activation link. The link contains a security token used to activate the account.

Note, that registered mobile phone numbers - even if confirmed using channel verification - cannot be used for authentication, when using the "token data model" storage model (i.e. enabling multiple phone numbers per user).

This limitation does not exist in the Loginapp REST UI and the Loginapp REST API.
