17.4.7.6. Managing consent texts

In the configuration, consents are referred by keys. The title and text for a consent is obtained from the 22.1. string resources. Note that the titles and texts are limited to 255 and 1000 characters, respectively.

Text resources should not be modified significantly in their meaning. If you make substantial changes (not only cosmetic) it is strongly recommended to create a new consent with a different key, because the new texts might have a different legal meaning.

Changing the key of a consent is like creating a new consent; there's no migration of already given consents. After changing the key of a consent, the previously given consent is no longer sufficient e.g. to access a target application. The users have to explicitly agree to the new consent.

Sample texts for the following keys are present in the default string resources:

Consent Key
String Resource for Title
String Resource for Description
phonenumber
consents.phonenumber.title
consents.phonenumber.description
postaladdress
consents.postaladdress.title
consents.postaladdress.description
emailaddress
consents.emailaddress.title
consents.emailaddress.description
