New features in Airlock Gateway 8.3

This section describes new features in Airlock Gateway 8.3 and lists changes that may require attention when upgrading from an earlier version.

Airlock Gateway 8.3 is available in the Techzone download area.

• Back-end protection – DoS protection feature extended and overload prevention.
• Airlock Anomaly Shield – Enhanced models and Kibana dashboards.
• Improved Create / import a mapping for medium-security and high-security use cases.
• New default deny rules for SSRF protection and Bot detection.
• New and revised administrative roles for the actions and configuration management. See also the section Breaking changes below.
• ACME services support with preconfigured Let's Encrypt services for staging and production.
• IP Whitelist with path conditions. This feature allows reducing the number of mappings and fine-grained configuration to improve your application security further.

• Custom access control lists (ACL) for the Airlock Gateway Configuration Center​ are no longer available. Use the revised predefined roles instead.
• The role airlock-supervisor is deprecated – use airlock-administrator instead. See article Administrative roles in Airlock Gateway for details.
• Increased memory requirements. The minimal memory requirements for non-productive systems has been increased to minimal 8 GB.
