Register SPN for the machine account

The SPN will be registered for the machine account serving the IIS website.

Procedure-related prerequisites

  • You need to run the commands with administrative permissions. Open PowerShell via Run as administrator.
  • You need to be logged in as a domain administrator on a domain controller.

Example values

  • SPN: webapp.int.virtinc.com
  • Server (machine account): server1

Instruction

  1. Run the following commands:

# for the machine account
setspn –L server1

# Register the SPN for

setspn –A http/webapp.int.virtinc.com `
