Configure Basic Authentication in Microsoft IIS for WebDAV

Basic Authentication will be enabled for the Default Web Site.

• None.

1. Go to: Administrative Tools >> Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
2. In the Connections span, expand the Sites node tree.
3. In the Connections span, select the Default Web Site.


The instructions describe the required steps for the Default Web Site.

4. Double-click on the Authentication feature.
5. Select Basic Authentication.
6. In the Action span, click on Enable.
7. Basic Authentication is enabled for the Default Web Site
